I wanted to make a custom Destro to look like the original figure from 1983. I modified the head so it would fit the new sculpt torso. For the necklace I reshaped a stick-on plastic "fashion jewel" and inset it in epoxy putty and used fishing line for the rest.
I used epoxy putty on the Zartan v4 torso to create the Destro look. For the holster on the right leg, I used the Lady Jaye v3 holster and sculpted the rest. I primed the figure with a flat white base coat, using Krylon Flat White spray paint.
I'm thrilled with this custom and glad I finally got around to finishing it. Destro is one of my favorite G.I. Joe characters from childhood. My Quepy Destro custom was my first G.I. Joe custom, so it was nice to customize him again. Let's hope we see something similar from Hasbro in the 25th Anniversary line!
